The attack on the fort on Sulivan's Island the 28 June 1776, by Henry Gray. Illustration shows British ships firing on Fort Sullivan on Sullivan's Island, South Carolina during the American Revolution. The American fort, under the command of William Moultrie (for whom the fort was renamed) survived the attack by the British fleet, led by Commo. Peter Parker.
