Healthcare worker gives shot to infant
Baby getting Immunized. Though no longer performed in this manner, this healthcare worker was administering a gluteal inoculation to an infant.The gluteal injection site is no longer used, but vaccines are still responsible for the control of many infectious diseases that were once common including polio, measles, diphtheria, pertussis, rubella, mumps, tetanus, and H. influenzae type B.
