Burdock Blood Bitters Almanac from 1885
Cover of an 1885 almanac published by T. Milburn & Co. to advertise their tonic Burdock Blood Bitters. Note: many "bitters" were mostly alcohol and water with bitter-tasting ingredients. Thus alcohol was marketed as a patent medicine as the temperance movement gained steam during the Victorian Age.
